Deconstruction

we’re sculpted from youth
the chipping away makes me weary
and as for the truth
it seems like we just pick a theory
It’s the one that justifies our daily lives
and backs us with quiver and arrows
to protect openings cause when the warring begins
how quickly the wide-open narrows
into the smallness of our deconstruction of love
we thought it was changing, but it never was
it’s just the same as it ever was

I didn’t realize when you did two entries in the same day, it didn’t show as you having done it twice…. ummm…. that didn’t make much sense…

Anyway, there are two other entries down below this one right here…. so, be sure to read both of them!

A friend and I have started a little message board place over at ezboard. The setup is quite different (not nearly as quick and easy as g-blog), but we would love to have a bit more input.

NO, I am NOT TRYING TO ’steal’ people away, either. I still come here to blog daily (if I can), and I still enjoy the conversations and the people…. I just thought for those of you who read/type really fast and have lots to say or nothing to do… and just for those times when everyone else seems busy and g-blog is quiet, you might want to tippy-toe on over there and take a look-see.

if you want more info, email me at entipy@draaz.com and I will be happy to share.

Thanks! :)

What would you do?

I don’t watch news much (hardly at all, actually). I don’t really keep up with current events. I greatly dislike politics in all forms. I am almost totally ignorant when it comes to other countries and their government systems, etc….. but I know people

That said, I’m disturbed by the seemingly seething hatred for America I’ve seen displayed around over the past few months.
–No leader can ever do it the right way.
–America is a big bully.

I ask this out of all curiousity. What would you do?

If you were the leader of a country (whose 50 states are each the size of most other world countries themselves), and a mass terroristic attack happened, what would you do? What is the “correct” course of action?

I don’t presume to know the answer to this. Perhaps I’m just not as intelligent as others are. However, I would love to hear some alternatives to how things did play out over the past year.

As far as the US giving aid/weapons/whatever to people then dropping them like — what was it? like a “hot potato” — and the fact that last year’s wtc attack might be vengeance for that — how long should one continue to “help” someone? Should we have paid US military personnel to stay in these countries for an undetermined amount of time? Well, actually, we’ve done that in other countries, haven’t we? Maybe I’m wrong about that, too.

It seems to me as though the US has been the country to step in and help whenever needed. Is that not true, either?

I really want to know. Instead of just denigrating so quickly and openly, why not share some useful suggestions or thoughts as to what should happen.

I don’t know enough facts to offer a legitimate defense of any kind against any of these statements people have thrown about lately. All I know is that it bothers me to hear such hatred about my country, and I would feel that way regardless of where I lived. This is my home. To say such openly hateful and hostile things about my home is basically the same as saying them about me. I would also feel the same way if it were any other country in its entirety which people were so vehemently thrashing.

I’ve rambled. I realize that. But I’m upset. So, forgive me.
