I’m MAD

So, my lack of journaling is probably directly due to my obsession with make-up and the fact that I spend most of my online time in MU groups now. I figure everyone wouldn’t want to read about all the different eye shadows I’m using every day, so I’ve just not been posting any. LOL. However, I thought I’d share a bit of good news. One of the companies I get mineral make-up from is called MAD Minerals. Well, during an email exchange with the owner about color suggestions, I decided to send her a couple of pictures of me wearing her eye shadow. She liked them so much, she’s going to put some of my pics up on her company website! So, she has sent me stuff to try different looks with. “Get Julie’s Look” kits may be in the works. LOL. I’m supposed to have my own page/section on the site. So, how cool is that???

Medical Community Does It Again

I’ve just come off the most serious case of PMS I can ever recall having, and now I have really bad cramps, too. Now, here’s the low-down. I can’t take anti-inflammatories which are the #1 thing women take for cramps. No Ibuprofen or anything like that because of my stomach. Tylenol isn’t helping. Midol isn’t helping. I can’t wrap up in a heating pad because I have to work. Even my Ultracet doesn’t help. So, I call my doctor to see if he can call me in a few pain pills. A FEW mind you. Like, I don’t care. 3, 4, 5? Just to help me through the next couple of days. The nurse talks to him and calls me back, “He says he can’t really give you anything that will help anymore than Ibuprofen or the Ultracet.”  …..  “Ok, well… thanks, anyway.”  I can’t TAKE Ibuprofen, and that answer is horseshit. He could give me something. A few pills? Come ON, people.

As I’ve said before, I can understand the hesitance in prescribing pain killers, but goddammit…. a few pills? to help me through a couple of days? FUCK! I do NOT understand THAT. Especially not when so many people can seem to get these things handed out to them like candy.
